Footsteps, tiny, hesitant
Nimbly feeling the rocky ground
Inching forward, stepping back
Until common ground is found
Should the ground start crumbling away
He will hold steadfast, unto you, as only he can
Bonds, stronger in hope
Be they with God, or man
Lips, smiling diffidently
Articulating only positivity
Heard only when barriers go down
When up, only refrains abound
Should you tear down the walls
You’ll find him waiting, quietly, as only he can
Relationships, reverently purposeful
Be they with God, or man
Eyes, gentle, serene
Gazing fondly from afar
Reveling in the sheer beauty
Of the rising radiant star
Should the skies mist over
He will take unto himself, your tears, as only he can
Connections, pure of heart
Be they with God, or man
Hands, sturdy, strong
Held out and around
Fledgling, learning to fly
Dropping down, then rising high
Should you really start to fall
He will lift you up, and up, as only he can
Ties, soulfully uplifting
Be they with God, or man
